Flourishing Facilitator Experience
October 2024 - January 2025

A four month learning experience that’ll take you from good to great in all that you do as an expert facilitator and trainer. It’s time to deepen your practise and harness your confidence.

You’re a natural teacher, you understand how to design engaging learning experiences and you relish being on your feet, delivering training - but you’re not sure how you crafted this skill and passion. Perhaps you didn’t have any formal training, but you’ve stumbled upon a natural talent that you’re ready to take to the next level.

Sound like you…?

Throughout this journey, you’ll don two equally important hats...

Learner – we learn by doing and you are encouraged to fully immerse yourself in the experience and notice what it is like to be the learner.  By doing this it gives you references of what learning is like and therefore how it could be for your own groups

Facilitator – what is it your facilitator is doing, saying, applying?  How do they design and deliver the sessions?  What can you be doing?  What would you do?  There will be pauses during our time together to notice what the facilitator is doing, how they do it and why.

I am halfway through the four-month programme and I'm already noticing a massive difference in how I approach my workshops and even meetings and conversations. I am now doing it with purpose. I am more creative, more clear, and more confident. And I definitely have fewer sleepless nights! 😴 I have tools, methods, and ideas of tried and tested ways to approach and deliver sessions - (us project managers love a tool and a structured method, they make us feel safe, warm, and cosy in an industry full of curveballs!) - I am loving this learning.

The experience was completely different than I expected. Everything from the room set up, agenda, and the flow of the day was fantastic. I learned how important engagement is for our delegates to ensure that learning is embedded. Learning different techniques to bring these to life and very easy to follow. I learned different facilitation styles and received feedback on my own style. It was great to get feedback which then we were able to practise on. Kirsty gave us a lot of resources to be able dive into when needed. I thoroughly enjoyed the program and would recommend to anyone that is in the facilitation world. It has been a massive help and have taken away so much from the program which I can go back and implement.

The FF programme is a perfect balance of practical learning, experimentation via role play and encouragement ‘on the job’. I have gathered so much insight on how to plan effective workshops and gathered new ideas and confidence. Feedback thus far from my audiences has been positive so it appears I am making the right changes.

I learnt so much from design through to delivery. Introduced to lots of ideas, a chance to practice and receive feedback, together with access to fantastic resources. It was also great to share the experience and learn from others. It was magic!

Look at workshop design differently; improve the client experience and make a few big interventions - that's why I signed up for the Flourishing Facilitator programme. And I was not disappointed, in fact the experience delivered so much more.
