The Brief

The manufacturing arm of a global coffee company asked SOF to help them “create people who can train other trainers, people like you Kirsty”. High praise!

Under this exciting brief, we would be looking at 30 manufacturing sites where there was a continuous need for learning and training.

The client desired to build an in-house team of Master Trainers who could train other colleagues to be trainers.

The Solution

Together, we developed an in-depth and immersive six-month programme that engaged the Master Trainers in learning first to be a great trainer… followed by learning how to observe and assess other trainers.

This was supported by a trainer capability framework, a detailed guide that enabled the master trainers to run train-the-trainer events in local language and multiple tools and resources to ensure the master trainers had the support they required.

The Outcome

There are now 30 master trainers worldwide who have trained 180 people to become trainers.

The manufacturer has become self-sufficient in building their own in-house of team of trainers. SOF continue to support the trainers twice a year with deep dives into trainer skills and challenges. Supporting our clients long term bring us huge satisfaction.
