SOF Community Pods

July Community Pod

with Melanie Martinelli
Friday, 3rd July, 0900 - 1000 BST

What factors determine learning transfer success?

How can L&D leaders, facilitators, and consultants systematically increase the transfer of learning events?

Which tools and interventions truly enhance transfer effectiveness?

In this session, we’ll explore evidence-based answers to these questions, answers that are both scientifically sound and practically tested.

We’ll introduce you to the 12 Levers of Transfer Effectiveness, the essence of 110 years of scientific research, distilled and curated by Dr. Ina Weinbauer-Heidel from the Institute for Transfer Effectiveness.

These 12 levers are designed to help ensure that the insights gained in learning programs are effectively and sustainably applied in real-life contexts.

You’ll receive:

  • A clear overview of the 12 levers
  • A hands-on experience with the Transfer Card Game to uncover transfer barriers in your own programs
  • Practical tools and ideas to make your programs more transfer-robust

Meet our July guest!

Melanie combines her entrepreneurial spirit with her 20 years of experience in L&D to help build memorable & results-based learning experiences. In her roles as CEO at the Institute for Transfer Effectiveness and Founder of Going Beyond Training GmbH, Melanie is passionate about making transfer happen.

Donate to the Pod

As ever the pod is a free event, however more people have been asking if they can pay, make a donation, create a balance of exchange and say thank you for what is created.

If you have been coming to the SOF pod and want to support the superstars behind the scenes then that would be amazing. Buying them a ‘coffee’ is what I think may work.

Emily is that superstar who sets up the website, the newsletter, the social media and answers the cries for help as Zoom links are lost.

There are three ways you can show your appreciation

An Oat Flat white: £3.99

A Mocha with whipped cream: £5.99

A coffee a day for a week: Pay what you want

Want to connect with others on the topics that interest you the most?

The SOF monthly Pod is a place for facilitators, trainers, coaches or consultants where we explore topics around clients, learners, you or your business.

We meet every first Friday of the month on Zoom.

You are welcome here. Take part in a pausesilencereflection and connection experience.

“The pods started in March 2020 in a response to the UK lockdown, facilitators and trainers losing work and needing a space to connect with others.

We gathered every Friday morning for 20 weeks, connecting, sharing and inspiring one another during a difficult time.

We quickly realised this space and community is needed and wanted by you so we continue to meet on the first Friday of every month.”

GT

“That was magnificent. It feels like I have found my tribe. To be part of a Learning Community like this is one of my goals achieved for the year. 8 days in, back of the net.”

M

“I also wanted to thank you for the Fri morning sessions during lockdown.  I attended about half of them and found them invaluable for connection, community and learning.”

ZE

"Each topic has been incredibly valuable. I truly value the opportunity to pause and reflect. Kirsty creates the space for this so beautifully."
