Endurance Mindset: Maintain Your Momentum
Much like endurance sport, even when we have a plan, life and business is often not a linear process! Life today is fast paced, multifaceted and involves increasing amounts of sustained stress. This isn’t always an ideal environment for us to function, let alone thrive in and it’s not slowing down.
We need to do differently.
I’ve taken all my experience of working as a consultant, coach and facilitator (…and human being!) to blend the aspects often seen as wider essential skills, but often delivered in isolation. I’ve combined them with what enables me to keep moving forward, towards success, as an endurance athlete; creating a mix of essential personal, leadership and wellbeing development skills.
Building resilience in individuals and organisations to drive change, manage challenges, allow agile thinking and keep us connected, so that we stay working well, together.
These aspects create a framework that supports you to develop an endurance mindset.
Founder of Auburn Consultancy, Clare Walkeden is a strategic consultant, development coach and facilitator, working with ambitious individuals and organisations, who are looking to challenge, change and create impact.
Clare is also an ultra endurance athlete, or more specifically ‘ a woman with a bike, who specialises in going slowly for a really long time’,
After coming to ‘proper sport’ later in life, trying some running and then triathlon, she quite quickly moved to Ironman distance, realising the longer stuff was more her thing. As the first female home at The Brutal, she realised she liked the puzzle and events that put you ‘out there’.
An advocate in life and business for being outside and in nature daily as a part of keeping us feeling both physically and psychologically well.
She’s sure that there’s something in an Endurance Mindset, in the doing and the being, that’s going to keep us all more fit for the future.
